About the Council When and Where We Meet The Council meets at 7pm in Committee Room A, County Hall every third Tuesday of the month except for August.
Can I Attend Council Meetings? Meetings are open to everyone.
Your Concerns are Our Concerns The Town Council's powers are limited, but it will take up and pursue any matters of importance to the Town and to those who live in it.
How to Become a Council Member Elections are held every four years, the next being in May 2012. Nomination papers for prospective candidates will be available from the Clerk.
Town Council Local Attractions Llandrindod Wells Town Council owns a number of local attractions including:

The Signal Box was originally located at the level crossing, Llandrindod Wells, and known as No 2 box. It was dismantled and relocated to its present position on the station platform, formerly the site of the No 1 box. British Rail handed it over to the Town Council at a ceremony during the Victorian Week in 1990. Since then the Council has opened it for limited periods during the Summer months. It is more than a hundred years old and contains, in exceptionally good condition, many of the original furnishings and machinery. It is very popular with visitors, particularly during Victorian Week, and the many railway buffs arriving on the special steam trains. |

The signal box is open (admission free) to visitors from 11:00am to 3:00pm on selected days during 2008 as follows:

The Oxford Road Playing Field This field was bought by the Council as a permanent playing field for the youth of the Town when the Primary School was closed and sold.

The Crabtree Green Allotment Gardens Allotments are available to rent. Application forms can be obtained from the Clerk.

The Town Council's Footpaths Commitee is producing Walking leaflets using public rights of way and some roads. They are available from the TIC. To date they include:
A Town Walk - 2 mile circular walk within the town. Howey Walk - 4½ mile circular walk. Shaky Bridge Walk - 4½ mile circular walk. New Woodland Walk - 4.5 mile circular walk. Newbridge-on-Wye to Llandrindod Wells - 4.5 mile linear walk.
